Indian boys lost to higher ranked Lebanon in quarterfinal by 98-67 in FIBA Asia U18 Championship being played in Tehran, Iran. India started well and after Q1 India was trailing by just 2 points and the score was 21-23 in favor of Lebanon. In Q2 Lebanon played 1 sided game and India just managed 9 points against 26 points.
In Q3 Indian boys managed to give fight and it was really very close 20-21 in favor of Lebanon. In last quarter Lebanon finished in style by 28-17 points.
For India G. Bneny score 19 points and Vishal Gupta had most rebounds 9. Vishal Gupta is most effective player for India as he scored 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 excellent steels.
India will play Chinese Taipei tomorrow for 5-8 classification round.
