Hyderabad: Defending champions Patna Pirates with face the inaugural Pro Kabaddi League champions Jaipur Pink Panthers for the silverware in the current season on Sunday (31st July) in Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.

While Patna beat Puneri Paltan 37-33 in the first semi-final, Jaipur entered the final after beating Telugu Titans by 34-24 in the second semi-final on Friday.

Patna, who finished the league phase of the competition atop on 52 points, will be banking heavily on captain Dharmaraj Cheralathan, Pardeep Narwal, Rajesh Mondal to cross the final hurdle and become the first team to lift the title in consecutive seasons.

Jaipur, on the other hand, has a mixed bag of fortune throughout the tournament. In the league phase, where Jaipur finished third on 47 points, captain Jasvir Singh with 69 raid points continues to be prolific for the Abhishek Bachchan owned side. Defender Amit Hooda also has a impressive tournament so far. With 44 successful tackles, Hooda shares the top spot in successful tackle ranking Bengaluru Bulls’ Mohit Chhillar.

So no matter whatever will be the outcome, fans can expect for a fascinating game of Kabaddi and end of it one team will create history by lifting the PKL trophy for the second time.

Meanwhile, prior to the grand finale on 9.15 pm, Fire Birds will cross swords with Storm Queens in the final of the inaugural Pro Kabaddi Women’s at 7.00 pm.
