India to play in the 4th edition of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy to be played in Kuantan, Malaysia in October this year. Along with India other nations participating in this year Championship are current champion Pakistan, who won back to back 2 titles in 2012 and 2013 be defeating India and Japan in finals respectively.
Host Malaysia, China, Japan and Oman will be other participants in this year edition of Asian Hockey Champions Trophy. The tournament will be played as round-robin league among all teams followed by play-offs for final positions. Total 18 matches will be played in the tournament.
According to current form Indian hockey team is hot favorite to win the trophy.
