GOA: Brazil built on their impressive run in the ongoing BRICS U-17 Football Cup 2016 and logged a third consecutive win hammering South Africa 3-0 on Tuesday at Bambolim, Goa.
the match started on a high note with equal enthusiasm between both the teams which were fighting against Goa’s unpredictable weather. In the early minutes of the game, despite heavy downpour both teams showed their dedication and retained playing. The Brazilian team was focused and tried their best to blank their opponents during the rain.
In the 8th minute Brazil’s Rodrigo Bertalia scored the very first goal for his team. This in turn gave the team members some relief. In the 62nd minute South Africa’s Mavuso tried firmly to score the goal for their team but the Brazilian Goalkeeper showed off his acrobatic skills and obstructed this goal.
In the 74th and 82nd minute, Brazilian strikers Leonardo Franco and Vinicius Oliveira scored supplementary goals leaving the match in favor of Brazil as 3-0. With this win, Brazil secured their place in finals of the BRICS U-17 Football Tournament.
