The evening kicked off with Brooks Jensen, sporting his signature moustache and mullet, squaring off against the formidable Dion Lennox, a former Pac-12 linebacker who made a striking first appearance in the WWE ring with eyeglasses. Lennox, with an NFL background, initially dominated the match with impressive takedowns, a sky-high dropkick, and a spinebuster executed to perfection. However, Jensen turned the tables with a resounding slap and a DDT, ultimately clinching victory with a high-impact knee drop from the top rope.
Gigi Dolin Secures a Win Against Jaida Parker
The women’s division saw Gigi Dolin battling Jaida Parker, an athlete from a family of exceptional sportspeople. Parker, who nearly upset Karmen Petrovic in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, gave Dolin a tough fight, delivering menacing strikes and a knee neckbreaker while boldly talking trash. Dolin, a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, responded with agility and a flurry of kicks, eventually sealing the match with her signature Gigi Driver.
Drew Gulak & Charlie Dempsey Defeat Edris Enofé & Malik Blade
In a tag team match, Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey faced Edris Enofé and Malik Blade, who were on a quest to continue their impressive undefeated streak on NXT Level Up. Enofé and Blade appeared to have the match under control, particularly after Blade’s energetic performance filled with dropkicks and suplexes. However, a timely intervention by Dempsey turned the tide. Despite a valiant effort by Enofé and Blade, including thwarting an interference from Myles Borne and Damon Kemp, Gulak and Dempsey executed a decisive back-first slam, allowing Dempsey to secure the pin and end the undefeated streak of Enofé and Blade.
