JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia) – No.1 ranked Strahinja Stojacic has earned the MVP award for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour 2023 regular season voted on by a panel of fans and players.
‘Dr. Strange’ made back-to-back MVP Honors with top-seeded Ub Huishan NE and in spectacular fashion. Forging the side to one of the most dominant starts in World Tour history, Ub won six Masters in a row. Stojacic won three MVPs in the process.
If that wasn’t proof enough, the stats are astoundingly in his favor. He leads in almost every category, including scoring (408), Player Value (442.7), highlights (297), key assists (110), rebounds (212) and more.
The 31-year-old Serbian has made waves for his country as well, coming away with the title at the FIBA 3×3 World Cup 2023 in Vienna as well as the Europe Cup 2023.
In consecutive years, player voting was on Stojacic’s side with 23.9%. Following him in the list would be Amsterdam HiPRO’s Worthy De Jong (19.7%) and Miami’s Jimmer Fredette (14.1%).
Dr. Strange was once again a fan-favorite with 13%, albeit this time taking runners-up in that regard to Liman’s Ning Zhang who garnered a whopping 44% of fan votes. Following the two was Worthy De Jong with 11%.
Stojacic etches his name into the history books once again as he adds his name into the array of 3×3’s premier stars. Previous winners have been Dusan Bulut (2018), Dominique Jones (2019), Nauris Miezis (2020) and Karlis Lasmanis (2021).
