LAS VEGAS, NV — Jack Eichel’s remarkable form continued as he led the Vegas Golden Knights to a commanding 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday. Eichel notched a goal and an assist, extending his point streak to 10 games, the longest in Golden Knights history, amassing 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) during this stretch.

The Golden Knights, bouncing back from a 5-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres, improved their record to 21-6-5. Ivan Barbashev and Mark Stone were significant contributors, with Barbashev recording a goal and an assist, and Stone providing three assists.

Goaltender Adin Hill, returning from a lower-body injury, left the game early in the first period with an undisclosed injury after making just two saves. Logan Thompson stepped in to make 20 saves in relief, playing a key role in securing the win for Vegas.

For the Senators, who are now 11-15-0, Josh Norris added a goal and an assist, and goaltender Joonas Korpisalo made 25 saves. However, their efforts weren’t enough to prevent their fourth consecutive loss, during which they have conceded 19 goals.

The game started with Eichel giving the Golden Knights an early lead with a goal at 1:37 of the first period. The Senators responded with Norris’ power-play goal, tying the game at 6:25. Ridly Greig then put Ottawa ahead with another power-play goal.

Jonathan Marchessault equalized for Vegas, followed by Nicolas Roy giving them a lead with a power-play goal in the second period. Chandler Stephenson scored a short-handed goal to extend the lead, emphasizing the Golden Knights’ efficiency on special teams.

Barbashev’s goal towards the end of the second period and William Karlsson’s third-period goal further solidified Vegas’s control over the game. Brady Tkachuk scored late for Ottawa, but it was merely a consolation in the face of Vegas’s dominance.

This victory for the Golden Knights was a showcase of their offensive prowess and special teams’ effectiveness. The Senators, on the other hand, are faced with the challenge of addressing their defensive issues and finding a way to bounce back from their losing streak.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights will aim to maintain their impressive form, while the Senators will seek to regroup and find a winning formula.
