World Skateboarding Tour Announces Rescheduled Final Stop in Dubai’s Majestic Harbour

Dubai, UAE – After much anticipation and a brief delay, World Skate, the governing body for roller sports, has finally announced the rescheduled dates and new location for the final stop of the World Skateboarding Tour 2024. The event, initially slated for a different date and venue, will now take place in the stunning Dubai Harbour, overlooking the iconic Palm Jumeirah, the world-renowned man-made island archipelago.

New Dates and Venue Details
The final stop of the tour, which includes both Park and Street skateboarding events, will be hosted in custom-built venues specifically designed for this grand occasion. This approach marks a first in the history of the World Skateboarding Tour, adding an extra layer of excitement and uniqueness to the competition.

The Park event is scheduled from February 25th to March 3rd, 2024, followed by the Street event running from March 3rd to March 10th, 2024. These back-to-back events are expected to bring together the world’s top skateboarding talent in a showcase of skill, style, and innovation.

In a move that heightens anticipation, World Skate revealed that the course designs for both Park and Street events would be exclusive to this tour stop. The courses will be open only during the event period, ensuring a fresh and challenging experience for the competitors. The designs of these courses, promised to be visually arresting, are set to be released in early January 2024.

This rescheduling and relocation to Dubai’s harbour are seen as a significant boost to the event’s appeal. The picturesque backdrop of the Palm Jumeirah offers a unique and breathtaking setting for what is touted to be one of the most visually stunning skateboarding events ever.

World Skate extended its gratitude to all stakeholders, athletes, and fans for their patience and understanding during the rescheduling process. They also highlighted the partnership with Arada, a key collaborator in bringing this event to life in the United Arab Emirates.

As the skateboarding community eagerly awaits these upcoming events, the World Skateboarding Tour in Dubai is set to conclude the 2024 season on a high note, promising a spectacle of sport and culture in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
