Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 185 pounds, Cousin signed with the White Sox as an international free agent on May 25, 2023. The Havana, Cuba native brings a rich background in baseball, having pitched for six seasons in the Cuban League. On the other hand, 24-year-old Patiño departs after a season with the White Sox, during which he recorded a 3.57 ERA and 13 strikeouts over 17.2 innings in seven appearances, including one start. Patiño joined the White Sox in a trade from Tampa Bay on August 1 in exchange for cash considerations.
