Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has officially announced the extension of central defender Presnel Kimpembe’s contract, ensuring his stay at the club until June 30, 2026. The 28-year-old French international, a native of Beaumont-sur-Oise, Val-d’Oise, has been a product of PSG’s youth system since joining their pre-academy in 2005. He signed his first professional contract with PSG in March 2015.

Throughout his career at PSG, Kimpembe has made 237 appearances across all competitions, contributing significantly to the team’s success. His accolades with the club include winning seven French Championships (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023), six Coupes de France, five League Cups, and five Trophées des champions. Additionally, Kimpembe has represented France at the international level, earning his first cap in March 2018 in a friendly against Russia and later becoming a World Champion with Les Bleus in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He also played a pivotal role in France’s Nations League victory in 2021.

Currently, Kimpembe is recovering from an Achilles tendon injury and is set to undergo surgery to facilitate his return to competitive football. Expressing his commitment to PSG, Kimpembe remarked, “I’m delighted to be continuing my story with the club I love. I would like to thank Paris Saint-Germain, the President, and the fans for their renewed faith. I hope to wear these colours again as soon as possible”.
