Chet Holmgren contributed significantly with 22 points, helping the Thunder (20-9) secure a win following their triumph over Western Conference leaders Minnesota the previous night. For the Knicks (17-13), Julius Randle led the scoring with 25 points, with Jalen Brunson adding 24. Immanuel Quickley provided a strong performance off the bench, contributing 22 points. The Thunder established an early lead, shooting impressively in the first quarter to take a 38-25 lead. Their advantage extended to 17 in the second quarter, though the Knicks managed to reduce the gap to five points before halftime. Gilgeous-Alexander’s 19 first-half points helped the Thunder maintain a lead at the break.

In the third quarter, Randle spurred a comeback for the Knicks, tying the game at one point. However, Gilgeous-Alexander’s crucial plays kept the Thunder ahead going into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter saw Williams shine, scoring 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting, including two pivotal 3-pointers during a crucial 10-2 run. This surge helped Oklahoma City fend off a late Knicks rally and ultimately secure the victory.

The Knicks next face Orlando on Friday night, while the Thunder travel to Denver for their next matchup.
