Williams played a crucial role in the fourth quarter, sinking key 3-pointers that sealed the win.

Chet Holmgren contributed significantly with 22 points, helping the Thunder (20-9) secure a win following their triumph over Western Conference leaders Minnesota the previous night. Oklahoma City’s effective rotation and minimal turnovers were pivotal in their success, as noted by Coach Mark Daigneault.

For the Knicks (17-13), Julius Randle led the scoring with 25 points, with Jalen Brunson adding 24. Immanuel Quickley provided a strong performance off the bench, contributing 22 points. Despite a decent shooting percentage and effective free-throw shooting, the Knicks were hindered by 18 turnovers, leading to 21 Thunder points.

Their advantage extended to 17 in the second quarter, though the Knicks managed to reduce the gap to five points before halftime. Gilgeous-Alexander’s 19 first-half points helped the Thunder maintain a lead at the break.

In the third quarter, Randle spurred a comeback for the Knicks, tying the game at one point. However, Gilgeous-Alexander’s crucial plays kept the Thunder ahead going into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter saw Williams shine, scoring 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting, including two pivotal 3-pointers during a crucial 10-2 run. This surge helped Oklahoma City fend off a late Knicks rally and ultimately secure the victory.
