Swedish defender Tom Willander and Canadian forward Matthew Savoie reflected on the game’s intensity and the outstanding support from the fans. Both teams had significant chances, with Canadian Carson Rehkopf and Swedish Liam Ohgren coming close to scoring.

The game’s first goal came early in the second period from Sweden’s Tom Willander, a Vancouver Canucks draft choice, who scored off a brilliant pass from Theo Lindstein. Noah Ostlund later doubled Sweden’s lead, with the play being deemed a good hockey goal despite questions of offside.

The third period saw Canada unable to capitalize on their power play opportunities, with Swedish goalie Havelid delivering a flawless performance, backed by a disciplined and efficient team defense.
