Stephen Curry’s exceptional performance, including crucial plays in the fourth quarter, propelled the Golden State Warriors to a 121-115 victory over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night. Curry’s 36 points were instrumental in snapping the Warriors’ three-game losing streak during their season-high, seven-game homestand.

The game saw significant contributions from Jonathan Kuminga, who added 19 points, and Klay Thompson, who scored 15 points. For the Magic, Paolo Banchero led with 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Franz Wagner contributed 25 points. This loss is Orlando’s second in a four-game road trip.

Curry’s impact was particularly noticeable in the third quarter, where he scored two 3-pointers and assisted on two other baskets, helping the Warriors build a lead. However, the Magic managed to erase this advantage when Curry rested. On his return in the fourth quarter, Curry dominated, scoring crucial points and providing key assists, including back-to-back baskets to Thompson and Kuminga, pushing the Warriors ahead 110-101 with just over two minutes remaining.

The first half ended dramatically with Curry’s four-point play, giving Golden State a temporary lead before Gary Harris’s buzzer-beating three-pointer tied the game for Orlando.

The Warriors played without suspended forward Draymond Green, who has missed the last 10 games. Coach Steve Kerr noted that the team and Green have been giving each other space, with no set date for Green’s return. Additionally, the Warriors faced another setback when Gary Payton II injured his hamstring and did not return to the game.

Looking ahead, the Magic will continue their road trip against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, while the Warriors will host the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.

Curry’s leadership and scoring prowess were pivotal in the Warriors’ victory, demonstrating his ability to elevate the team, especially in critical moments of the game.
