New York, January 4, 2024 – The National Hockey League (NHL) has announced the initial roster of 32 players for the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend, set to take place in Toronto from February 1-3. This prestigious event will also involve fans in completing the roster through the 2024 NHL All-Star Fan Vote, sponsored by MassMutual.

The 32 players, comprising 28 skaters and four goaltenders, were selected by the NHL’s Hockey Operations Department. Each NHL team is represented by one player, ensuring a diverse and talented line-up. The list includes notable first-time All-Stars like Frank Vatrano (ANA) and seasoned players such as Connor McDavid (EDM), marking his seventh appearance.

Fans now have the unique opportunity to influence the final roster by voting for 12 additional players – eight skaters and four goaltenders. Voting is accessible at NHL.com/vote and via the X platform (formerly Twitter), until January 11th. The voting system allows fans to cast up to 10 ballots per day, engaging a global audience with interactive ballots available in eight languages.

The All-Star Weekend, hosted by the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena, promises an array of events, including the NHL All-Star Skills™ presented by DraftKings Sportsbook, and the Honda (U.S.) / Rogers (Canada) NHL® All-Star Game. The weekend will kick off with the NHL All-Star Thursday™, featuring the Tim Hortons NHL All-Star Player Draft, a tribute to the 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Canadian Tire PWHL 3-on-3 Showcase.

Tickets for these events, including the NHL Fan Fair™, the official fan festival, are available for purchase, offering fans a chance to be part of the excitement.

This year’s All-Star Weekend not only showcases the league’s top talent but also celebrates fan engagement and hockey heritage, making it a must-watch event for hockey enthusiasts worldwide.
