Tatum reflected on his and the team’s approach, highlighting the importance of playing aggressively and utilizing space effectively. The Pacers managed to cut the deficit to three points entering the fourth quarter, but Boston pulled away in the final period, leading by as much as 19 points.
The game was another significant matchup in the season series between the two teams. The Celtics had previously defeated the Pacers 155-104 in November, with Indiana winning the rematch 122-112 in December.
The Pacers were without key players Bruce Brown and Andrew Nembhard due to injuries. Boston also faced a setback with Kristaps Porzingis leaving the game early due to an eye laceration.
