Anaheim Ducks Triumph Over Nashville Predators 5-3, Snap Five-Game Skid

NASHVILLE — The Anaheim Ducks ended their five-game losing streak with a decisive 5-3 victory over the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday. The Ducks, led by forward Troy Terry with a goal and an assist, opened their six-game road trip on a high note. Goalie Lukas Dostal delivered a stellar performance with 39 saves, while Alex Killorn and Jackson LaCombe each contributed two assists.

The Ducks (14-25-1) faced a setback when forward Trevor Zegras left in the first period with a lower-body injury. Coach Greg Cronin confirmed Zegras’ condition, indicating he would be out for a while. Despite this, Anaheim players like LaCombe focused on playing simple and effective hockey, which paid off in their win.

For the Predators (22-18-1), Philip Tomasino and Alexandre Carrier scored, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Ducks’ momentum. Goalie Juuse Saros had 28 saves in the defeat. Nashville’s recent home performance has been underwhelming, with five losses in their last six games at home.

The Ducks established their dominance early in the game, with Ryan Strome scoring at 11:12 of the first period, immediately followed by goals from Frank Vatrano and Mason McTavish. Troy Terry’s goal in the second period further extended Anaheim’s lead, with Radko Gudas making it 5-0 early in the third. The Predators attempted a comeback with goals from Carrier, Tomasino, and Denis Gurianov, but the Ducks’ lead proved insurmountable.

Adam Henrique of the Ducks achieved a personal milestone by earning his 500th NHL point, marking a special moment in his career. Troy Terry also celebrated his 200th NHL point during the game.

Despite the late effort from the Predators, with Nyquist extending his point streak to nine games, the Ducks maintained their lead, showcasing a strong team performance and resilience. The victory offers a much-needed boost for Anaheim as they continue their road trip, while the Predators reflect on their home game struggles and aim for improvement.
