Rookie defenseman Nick Perbix emerged as the hero, scoring the winning goal 2:02 into the extra period. Brandon Hagel, who tied the game late in the third period, set up the decisive play.
Tyler Motte also contributed to the Lightning’s third-period rally, scoring to initiate the comeback. Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy made crucial saves, stopping 20 shots for Tampa Bay (20-17-5), which had been struggling with four losses in their last six games. Coach Jon Cooper achieved a significant milestone, securing his 500th win, becoming the third-fastest coach to reach this mark.
