The Colorado Rapids have announced the signing of 17-year-old goalkeeper Adam Beaudry to a four-year Homegrown Player contract, with an option for two additional years, marking a significant step in the young player’s career.

Adam Beaudry, a product of the Rapids Academy and Real Colorado, has shown exceptional promise in his young career. In the 2023 season, he featured in 16 matches for Rapids 2, starting all of them and achieving three clean sheets. His performances helped Rapids 2 secure the No. 1 overall seed in MLS NEXT Pro. Beaudry’s talent was further recognized as he was named the MLS NEXT Pro Goalkeeper of the Month for both May and July and was a finalist for the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Beaudry’s talent extends beyond the club level to the international stage, where he has represented the U.S. at the U-17 level. He was part of the U.S. team that competed in the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia, making it to the knockout stage. Beaudry also played a crucial role in the U.S. team’s journey to the final of the Concacaf U-17 Championship in Guatemala.

Colorado Rapids President Pádraig Smith and Head Coach Chris Armas have both expressed high regard for Beaudry’s abilities and potential.
