PHILADELPHIA – Tobias Harris led the Philadelphia 76ers to a 112-93 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night, scoring a season-high 37 points. His explosive first period set the tone for the 76ers, who snapped their three-game losing streak without key players, including Joel Embiid.

Harris’ performance was his best scoring output in six seasons with Philadelphia, marking his highest total since a career-high game with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2018. In the absence of reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid, who missed his third consecutive game due to left knee soreness, and other rotation forwards, the 76ers found strength in depth.

Nicolas Batum stepped up with 14 points, shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the field. Paul Reed and Mo Bamba filled in effectively at the center position, contributing eight and 11 points, respectively, with Bamba also recording four blocks.

De’Aaron Fox led the way for the Kings with 21 points, while Malik Monk and Keegan Murray each added 15 points. The Kings struggled to find their rhythm, particularly in the first quarter, shooting under 40%.

The decisive moment for the 76ers came in the second quarter with a 29-12 run, highlighted by Batum’s eight points in a minute, including back-to-back 3-pointers. This surge gave Philadelphia a 22-point lead, a margin the Kings couldn’t overcome.

Sacramento missed Kevin Heurter due to a right ankle sprain, impacting their performance. The Kings will look to bounce back when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night, while the 76ers will host the Houston Rockets on Monday afternoon.

This victory for the 76ers demonstrates their ability to rally and produce a strong team performance, even in the absence of key players like Embiid. Harris’ standout game underscores his importance to the team, especially when stepping up in critical moments.
