The voting period, which ran for eight days, saw a record-breaking 36 million votes cast, marking a substantial 34% increase from the previous year. This surge in participation reflects a growing global enthusiasm for hockey, highlighted by three players each receiving over 1 million votes, a feat previously achieved by only one player last year.
