Cameroon’s Jean Charles Castelletto responded by heading home a cross from Oliver Ntcham in the 83rd minute, narrowing the scoreline to 2-1. However, with just two minutes remaining, Sadio Mane sealed the victory for Senegal with his first goal of the tournament, assisted by Pape Gueye.
Cameroon now faces a must-win situation in their final group game against Gambia to progress to the knockout stage, while Senegal will play their last group match against Guinea.
