WASHINGTON — The Seattle Kraken continued their remarkable form, winning their eighth consecutive game and extending their point streak to 12 games with a 4-1 victory over the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena on Thursday. This winning streak ties the longest in the Kraken’s three NHL seasons and sets a new team record for their point streak.
Seattle’s goalie Joey Daccord was instrumental in the win, making 25 saves and winning his seventh straight start. He remains undefeated in regulation since December 10, showcasing his consistency and skill in the net.
Adam Larsson, contributing a goal and an assist, played a pivotal role in the Kraken’s success. Daccord, with a 9-0-2 record in his last 11 games, emphasized the importance of maintaining a consistent mindset and not getting too focused on results.
The Capitals, who fell to a 2-6-1 record in their past nine games, saw Max Pacioretty scoring his first goal with the team. Goalie Darcy Kuemper made 19 saves in the effort. Despite the loss, Washington coach Spencer Carbery recognized the team’s need to stick with their game plan and acknowledged the few breakdowns that led to Seattle’s scoring chances.

The Kraken joined the Florida Panthers, Edmonton Oilers, and Winnipeg Jets as the fourth team with an active winning streak of at least eight games, marking a first in NHL history.
