Olympics medal winner for India till date

Indian Hockey team is most successful in terms of winning medals for India with 8 Gold medals, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze.  Norman Pritchard was the first Indian to win medal for Indian (British India),  though he was British but he represent India in 1990 Olympics.  Khashaba Dadasaheb Jadhav was the first individual medal winner of Independent India when he won bronze in 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Abhinav Bindra is the lone individual to win Gold for India in Olympics.
