NOTTINGHAM – Tottenham Hotspur secured a vital 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest, moving them closer to the Premier League’s top four. The victory at the City Ground was marked by goals from Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski, continuing Spurs’ resurgence after a recent win over Newcastle United.
Tottenham, under Ange Postecoglou, showed their class from the outset, driven by captain Son Heung-Min’s inspirational play. Richarlison’s header in first-half stoppage time, assisted by Kulusevski, opened the scoring. Kulusevski then doubled the lead in the 65th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by Forest’s goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Despite Yves Bissouma’s late red card, Spurs held firm to maintain their lead, leaving Forest frustrated and extending their winless streak to six games. Tottenham now sits fifth, level on points with Manchester City and just four points behind leaders Liverpool.
Forest, managed by Steve Clarke, are positioned 16th, with their recent form a growing concern. Despite this, the team remains optimistic, with player Neco Williams emphasizing unity and belief in their approach.
