The Bruins established an early lead in the first period through Mason Lohrei’s goal at 4:19. Coyle extended the lead to 2-0 with a power-play goal, capitalizing on a one-timer from the slot. Special teams were crucial for Boston, as they executed effectively on the power play, scoring three of their four goals with a man advantage.

Buffalo, missing forward Tage Thompson for personal reasons, struggled to find their rhythm. Despite this effort, the Sabres’ special teams faltered, especially on the penalty kill and power play, contributing to their loss.
