Crystal Palace’s preparations for their upcoming FA Cup third-round tie against Everton have been hampered by the loss of Michael Olise to another hamstring injury.
Olise, who had previously missed the first three months of the season due to a hamstring issue sustained with France’s Under-21 team, had returned to action in mid-November.
Since his comeback, the winger has been in excellent form, scoring four goals in his last four Premier League appearances. However, he has been ruled out of the FA Cup match following a hamstring injury incurred in the last moments of the game against Brentford.
Roy Hodgson, Crystal Palace’s manager, lamented Olise’s injury, emphasizing the player’s importance to the team and expressing hope for a quick recovery. Hodgson was particularly impressed with Olise’s recent performances, including a notable display against Chelsea.
The team has been plagued by injuries this season, with key players like Eberechi Eze also facing setbacks. Hodgson stressed the need for having the best players available, especially in crucial periods of the season.
