Lets start event wise prediction of India’s medals hope and where they will finish

First of all we have Men’s Individual ranking event. In this India is represented by Atanu Das,  he is currently ranked 22 in Men’s recurve rankings. So its highly unlikely that he will finish in Top 10 in finals. He would face tough competition from archers from South Korea, Netherlands, USA. Other Indian archers failed to qualify for Olympics  such as Jayanta Talukdar (ranked 13) and Mangal Singh Champia (ranked 32). Atanu Das will be lone flag bearer in men’s Archery for India in this years Olympics

In Women’s Individual ranking event, Deepika Kumari is one of the world’s best archer and is currently ranked 12 in world, her chance of winning a medal in individual events are higher, but her main competition will come from 3 South Korean.  If she able to defeat any of the Korean’s then we assume that she would win a medal in Individual category.

In same category, Bombayla Devi is also representing India and is currently 69 in recurve rankings. She has to work hard, but chances are very less for her getting a medal. Laxmirani Majhi is in good form and currently ranked 15th in word rankings. She can complement Deepika in individuals, but we don’t think she will be bringing any individual medals for India.

The best chances of India lies in Women’s Team event and we think that India could bring Silver medal in this event. a trio of Deepika, Bombayla and Laxmirani Majhi will be representing India in this category and with just 11 other teams in this event, India’s chances of winning a medal is really optimistic.

So our Prediction is that India would bring at least 1 Silver medal in team event and if luck favors us  then another medal in individual’s.
