The UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw for the 2023/24 season has set the stage for some highly anticipated matchups. The draw, held in Nyon, Switzerland, saw teams from across Europe’s top leagues being paired for the next phase of this prestigious tournament. The pairings are as follows:

  2. Napoli (ITA) vs Barcelona (ESP)
  3. Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) vs Real Sociedad (ESP)
  4. Inter Milan (ITA) vs Atlético de Madrid (ESP)

The first legs of these ties are scheduled for February 13/14 and 20/21, with the return legs set for March 5/6 and 12/13. The draw process involved two seeding pots, one with the eight group winners (seeded teams) and the other with the eight runners-up (unseeded teams). Teams were not allowed to be drawn against clubs from their group stage or from their own national association. The seeded group winners will play the first leg of the round of 16 away from home, and the return leg at their home stadium.

The subsequent stages of the tournament are also outlined, with the quarter-final and semi-final draw scheduled for March 15, 2024. The quarter-finals will take place on April 9/10 and 16/17, followed by the semi-finals on April 30/May 1 and May 7/8. The final is set for June 1, 2023, at Wembley Stadium in London.
