St. Moritz (RWH) The 2-man bobsleigh World Champions Johannes Lochner/Georg  Fleischhauer (GER) are the winners of the fourth BMW IBSF World Cup in winter  2023/2024. At the Olympia Bobrun St. Moritz-Celerina, Lochner/Fleischhauer relegated  their German team-mates with Olympic Champion Francesco Friedrich and push athlete  Alexander Schüller (GER, 0.25 seconds behind) to second place. Lochner thus celebrated  his third win of the season in the race series.  Third place in St. Moritz was contested between the Swiss local heroes Michael  Vogt/Sandro Michel and Simon Friedli/Andreas Haas. With the better run time in the second  heat, the Vogt/Michel duo ultimately came out on top and secured the remaining podium  place in third ahead of Friedli/Haas in fourth place. Cédric Follador/Gregory Jones  completed the good result for the Swiss World Cup hosts in seventh place.  In the overall standings for the BMW IBSF World Cup 2023/2024, Johannes Lochner (GER,  885 points) extended his lead at the halfway stage of the World Cup. Francesco Friedrich  (GER, 830) is second overall after four of eight races, ahead of 2023 World Championships  bronze medallist Michael Vogt (SUI, 809), who finished on the podium in three of the four  2-man bobsleigh races.
